What is AquaGold® fine touch™?
At BlossomMD, we perform AquaGold in San Ramon, CA. AquaGold is a microneedling treatment with an extra added boost. The needles used in this treatment are 24-karat gold and are used to inject a skin-plumping serum cocktail of Botox and hyaluronic acid serum, which the practitioner “stamps” into your skin, allowing for greater active ingredient absorption. This treatment is often also referred to as: skin botox, botox facial, micro botox, and mesobotox. AquaGold is manufactured by an FDA-registered manufacturer.

How Does the Procedure Work?
After the face is cleansed, We put ingredients in the sterile tube of Aquagold device. It is then pressed into the skin in an overlapping pattern. Botox and Hyaluronic Acid are being delivered into the skin, not on it or underneath it. The device works with 20 tiny, precisely spaced needles delivering product into the skin at the ideal depth of 600 microns. The hollow needles hold the product. The needles sit on a platform, and are smaller than a human hair. The needles are inserted into the skin and then pulled back out, leaving the product behind. This creates a soft, natural-looking result, leaving the face looking smoother, tighter, and rejuvenated. The microneedles stimulate cellular renewal in the upper layer of the skin through gentle needling, while the solution is dispersed into the dermis to enhance results.

How Long Does the Treatment Take?
The treatment time can range from 45 min to 1 hour. Please come with no make up!
Is AquaGold® Treatment Painful?
The procedure is virtually pain free. We will apply numbing cream before the treatment to maximize comfort. The Aquagold needle itself is thinner than a human hair
When Can I Expect to See Results?
Results are seen within 24-48 hours post-treatment. You can expect the results of the treatment to last from 4 to 8 weeks, and longer as you receive more treatments over time.
How Often Do I Need AquaGold® Treatments?
A series of three or six is recommended. For new clients, we recommend spacing treatments 4-6 weeks apart. For clients who come in for maintenance, we recommend quarterly touch-ups. Many people get 4 treatments a year, but the spacing is individualized. Some may get one every 6-8 weeks for 4 sessions, while others may choose to do it quarterly. You can also go based on when you notice effects wearing off.
How Long Do AquaGold® Results Last?
Results are seen within 3-7 days after treatment and typically last approximately 3-4 months (depending on your lifestyle and overall skin quality). Ideal as event skin prep. Procedure can be done as often as every 1-3 months, doing several treatments throughout the year will continue to improve long term skin quality.
Post-Treatment Care & Recovery
- Do not apply makeup or wash your face for at least six hours after your treatment
- When you do wash your face, cleanse the treated area gently with gentle soap, and make sure to apply moisturizer directly after
- Resume your daily skincare routine the day following your treatment
- Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 24 hours after your treatment
- Wear SPF 30 or higher during incidental sun exposure (driving, walking) for two weeks following your treatment
- Avoid exfoliating cleansers, peels, and medications on the treated area for at least one week following your treatment
- Avoid any exercise that causes sweating.
- Refrain from using hot tubs, steam baths, or sauna if you notice any skin irritation
Is There Any Downtime?
There are a few limitations but down-time is little to none.
