What is Dysport®?

Dysport® is used as an injection for cosmetic applications. The active ingredient in Dysport® is botulinum toxin type A, which is similar to Botox®.

It works by blocking nerve signals in muscles, leading to temporary relaxation and reduction of muscle activity.

What does it do?

Dysport® is used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. Dysport® can be used in many areas of the face, and is particularly effective on frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), forehead wrinkles, and crow’s feet.

It is injected directly into the muscles responsible for these wrinkles, temporarily paralyzing them and giving the skin a smoother appearance.

Because of the different proteins in the formulation of Dysport®, our clients often mention that they feel Dysport® gives a very natural and soft, relaxed feeling result.

How much Dysport® will I need?

The number of units you will need to reach your desired goals varies widely. During your initial consultation we will discuss and create a personalized plan.

How does it work?

Dysport® injections temporarily impede nerve signals in muscles. Dysport® is injected directly into specific, targeted muscles, in areas like frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead wrinkles, or crow’s feet.

The targeted muscles experience temporary paralysis or weakening, reducing their ability to contract. This leads to a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movements, making it a great choice for those looking to soften the look of their face, and in particular; the frown line or glabella area.

Am I a good candidate?

You may be a good candidate for Dysport® treatment if you are,

  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Do not have an allergy or sensitivity to milk protein
  • Have wrinkles and lines in areas that Dysport® can treat effectively.
  • Want to prevent wrinkles.

When can I expect to see results?

Dysport® is a quick and effective solution to enhance your appearance; you can expect to see visible improvements within a couple of days following the treatment.

Our clients tell us they often see results of Dysport®, even faster than they do when choosing Botox®, making it an ideal choice for those with special events approaching in the near future.

How long does it last?

While the results from a Dysport® treatment can vary from person to person, on average, the results can last up to 4 months. Follow up treatments are recommended to maintain results.

No recovery or downtime is needed after treatment. For best results, it is recommended to actively contract the treated muscles, to increase the efficacy, for 1 hour following the treatment.
